Tekken Card Tournament Beta is now available for Android

Tekken Card Tournament Beta is now available for Android

tekken.card.tournament-androidIt’s pretty safe to say that Tekken is a classic, and a lot of us would love to see it on Android in some form. Namco Bandai is set to make that happen, but not in the way you might think. Tekken Card Tournament has been in Beta since earlier this year, and now there’s a Beta Android version you can check out for yourself.tekken.card.tournament-1

Tekken Card Tournament is a card battling game set in the world of Tekken, and while it’s not a straight up fighting game you will get to pull off some killer moves. Each fighter is represented by a deck of cards consisting of attacks. You can choose from three different actions during each turn while your opponent does the same. It’s kind of a rock-paper-scissors formula, and it works surprisingly well. Your attacks are played out on the screen after every turn, and there’s even a timer ticking away which adds a sense of urgency to things. As it’s a card based battler there are plenty of premium cards and packs; we’re not sure how the IAP setup will play out just yet as it is still in the Beta stages.

I’m an old-school Tekken fan so I was thrilled to see Tekken Card Tournament Beta for Android hit the web. It’s not on the Play Store yet, but I’ve had no issues running the game and the online battles have been a blast so far. Yup, there’s multiplayer to go along with Arcade Mode and the Online WW Championship. Needless to say, it’s a game you’ll want to check out if you dig Tekken or TCG’s. We’ll let you know as soon as the game hits Google Play, but for now you can pick up the beta from the official site at the link below.
