CES 2013: Vizio announces 10-inch Tegra 4 Tablet

CES 2013: Vizio announces 10-inch Tegra 4 Tablet

Vizio has become a well-known name over the years with their big affordable TV’s and now they are looking to make a splash in the world of Android. At CES they announced that they’re bringing a 10-inch Android tab to the masses and it will be rocking the brand spankin’ new NVIDIA Tegra 4.

The details on the Vizio Tegra 4 tablet are a bit sparse at this time, but here’s what we’ve learned. The tablet will boats a 10.1-inch 2560 x 1600 display with the Tegra 4 under the hood. It will come with 32GB of storage to go along with front and rear shooters, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. The Verge went hands on with the device earlier today and are reporting that the tablet is light, fairly thin, and has a soft-touch back compared to a slick or textured back. It’s also going to come out of the box running a “bone stock” version of Jellybean 4.2 which is certainly nice to hear.

Vizio’s announced a few new phones today as well as a 7-inch tab so it looks like their new tablet line aims to take on the Nexus’s. Vizio has released tablets in the past, but they’re looking to be the first to get a beastly Tegra 4 Tablet into play. We don’t have an exact release date or price yet, but it’s expected that the tablet will ship in the second half of 2013.
