This is the first time Iâve posted an article after midnight on site, but thereâs a good reason for this one. Super Hexagon for Android was released this evening, and after spending only a few minutes with the game I can only sayâ¦Wow.
Super Hexagon doesnât have a plot, jaw dropping graphics or any unlockable characters. Itâs a game about you, and a Hexagon. You take control of a small triangle cursor of sorts and you can move it left or right by touching that side of the screen. When the level starts youâll have shapes coming at you that slowly start to form a hexagon. In a nutshell, your job is to try and move into the gaps of the spinning hexagon and not hit a wall. Super Hexagon for Android is a very unforgiving game and the lowest difficulty setting is hard if that tells you anything. Over time youâll come to hate that Super Hexagon, it only took me around 10 minutes. You can see my best achievement in the screenshot above and that took around 20 minutes with countless crashes and lots of cursing.
Super Hexagon for Android isnât a game for the faint of heart. Itâs truly a blast to play, but itâs going to frustrate the hell out of you at the same time. Itâs one of the most frustrating games Iâve ever played in my entire life, and I have played a lot of damn games. That being said, itâs also one of the most addictive games Iâve ever picked up and it just keeps you coming back for more. If you think youâre âgoodâ at games try this sucker out, and pick it up quick as its on sale for a limited time. You can snag Terry Cavanaughâs Super Hexagon for $ 0.99 on Google Play.
